PROTECTING CAGE
A constant conflict in mobile robotics, aircraft and aerospace, is protecting the equipment inside cages, as well as having a lightweight container to increase efficiency of fuel and batteries. This was a lightweight, strong solution to safely handle the payload conditions. The Spot Mini was a project that carried disinfectant in hospitals and sprayed the halls and corridors.
Many extra parts were integrated such as liquids, sprayers, motors, and a battery pack. These parts were also integrated into the cage itself to reduce weight and protect from a fall. This product was fabricated from an unconsolidated approach that reduced the cost of the final product.
